Youth Group

You Belong Here 

This is painted on the wall of our youth room. We are painfully aware of the damage the Christian Church has done to our LGBTQIA friends, and so we are conscious of how the physical space of a Church can be triggering for people who have been hurt. More than anything, we want our space to be safe. We want you to know that you are loved and that you matter. We know that painting something on our wall doesn't magically make this true, we need to make sure we are doing the work. So, we are consistently checking in with one another. What is working? What isn't working? How can we be sure our space is invitational and full of love?   We are a group that intentionally wades into the complicated, yet beautiful landscape of spirituality. We want to create sacred space for everyone to show up and be their truest selves. We emphasize community. We prioritize fun, connection, conversation, and contemplation.
